Genesis Contributes $300,000 To First Tee, Girls On The Run, And U.S. Soccer Foundation For Youth Empowerment

Genesis has made a significant contribution to youth sports by donating $300,000 to three organisations: First Tee, Girls on the Run, and the U.S. Soccer Foundation. Each organisation received $100,000 to enhance access to sports for young people. Part of these donations will also support recovery efforts following the wildfires in Southern California, demonstrating Genesis' dedication to community support and resilience.

"At Genesis, we are committed to not only developing world-class vehicles, but also giving back to our communities," said Tedros Mengiste, chief operating officer, Genesis Motor North America. "We are proud to continue supporting organizations that inspire and empower the next generation through sports. This year, we are especially grateful that our donations will also help rebuild Southern California—the place we call home."

For four years in a row, Genesis has collaborated with nonprofits that promote youth development through sports. These programs aim to teach essential life skills like teamwork and resilience. The donations come from Genesis Gives, a corporate social responsibility program by Genesis Motor America focused on improving access to youth sports in underserved areas.

The funds will assist in restoring local sports programs in Southern California affected by recent wildfires. Greg McLaughlin, CEO of First Tee, expressed gratitude for Genesis' ongoing support: "We are grateful to Genesis for its ongoing support of First Tee and our efforts to provide youth development programming to more than 3 million kids annually." He added that the donation would significantly aid their chapters recovering from wildfire damage.

Girls on the Run International CEO Elizabeth Kunz highlighted the importance of this funding: "We are incredibly grateful for the generous support from Genesis Gives, which will allow us to expand access to our life-changing programs for girls across the country." She emphasised how crucial it is for girls today to have supportive environments where they can build confidence and resilience.

The U.S. Soccer Foundation also benefits from this partnership with Genesis. Ed Foster-Simeon, president and CEO of the foundation, stated: "We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Genesis and continue to provide access to proven soccer programs and create safe places to play for children in under-resourced communities that improve their health and well-being."

Impact of Donations on Local Communities

The $100,000 donation will enable First Tee chapters to offer more opportunities for youth development through golf while aiding recovery efforts at First Tee – Greater Pasadena after losing equipment in the fires. To date, Genesis has contributed $400,000 cumulatively to First Tee.

Girls on the Run uses its donation to expand its reach and ensure sustainability of its programs nationwide. A portion of this funding directly supports Southern California councils affected by wildfires. Since its inception, Girls on the Run has received $350,000 from Genesis.

The U.S. Soccer Foundation plans to use its share of the donation for creating mini-pitches in Southern California and Atlanta. These spaces provide safer environments for children in underserved communities. Overall contributions from Genesis have reached $350,000 for this foundation.

Genesis' Commitment Beyond Automotive Excellence

First Tee aims to impact young lives by offering educational programs that build character through golf. Supported by various organisations including PGA TOUR, it reaches millions annually via 150 chapters across all U.S states and select international locations.

Girls on the Run International offers after-school empowerment programs designed for girls aged 8-13 years old across all 50 states plus Canada since 1996; serving over 2.5 million participants so far.

The U.S Soccer Foundation provides innovative play spaces alongside evidence-based soccer programs aimed at fostering well-being among youths living within under-resourced areas nationwide since being founded post-1994 FIFA World Cup event held domestically within America itself.

Genesis Gives represents an extension of brand commitment towards high-performance standards alongside athletic elegance design identity whilst supporting nonprofits aiming at improving accessibility towards both youth sporting activities alongside STEAM education initiatives targeting underprivileged communities nationwide since launching back during year twenty-twenty-two itself!
