Hyundai Models Shine With Four Awards In U.S. News & World Report's 2025 Best Cars For The Money
Four Hyundai vehicles have been recognised in the U.S. News & World Report's 2025 Best Cars for the Money awards. The Hyundai Tucson maintained its title as Best Compact SUV, while the Hyundai Elantra Hybrid secured the Best Hybrid Car award for the fourth time. Additionally, the Hyundai Kona Electric and Tucson Plug-in Hybrid won their first awards as Best Electric SUV and Best Plug-In Hybrid SUV, respectively.
Olabisi Boyle, senior vice president of product planning and mobility strategy at Hyundai Motor North America, expressed pride in receiving these accolades. "We are honored to be recognized as a leader with four ‘Best Cars for the Money’ awards by U.S. News & World Report," Boyle stated. She emphasised Hyundai's dedication to creating stylish vehicles that offer advanced features and enjoyable driving experiences.

The selection process involved evaluating nearly 90 vehicles across 13 categories. The awards focus on cars, SUVs, trucks, and minivans that offer consumers an optimal mix of quality and value. John Vincent, senior editor of vehicle testing at U.S. News, explained that they consider factors like fuel efficiency, comfort, practicality, performance, purchase price, and total ownership cost when determining winners.
The editorial team at U.S. News & World Report assessed each vehicle's quality based on their overall score in the U.S. News Best Car Rankings. These rankings are derived from data points such as safety and reliability ratings combined with opinions from automotive experts. Value is determined by analysing transaction prices and projected five-year ownership costs.
Since 2007, U.S. News Best Cars has been providing rankings and reviews of most new vehicles sold in America. Each year they publish various awards including Best Vehicle Brands, Best Cars for the Money, and Best Cars for Families. Their platform supports car buyers throughout their purchasing journey with advice on researching cars and finding deals.
