The 2025 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship continues with Round 2 at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City on January 11. The GEN3 Evo car, making its first appearance in Mexico after debuting in São Paulo, showcases advancements like rapid acceleration and sustainable features. These include tyres made from 35% reusable materials and ethically sourced batteries.
Pascal Wehrlein, last year's Mexico City winner, aims to recover from a recent crash in São Paulo. Mexico City has been integral to Formula E since Season 2, hosting nine races so far. The Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, named after legendary drivers Ricardo and Pedro Rodríguez, will host the 2025 Hankook Mexico City E-Prix. The track remains unchanged from last year, featuring a chicane after Turn 8 and an ATTACK MODE zone at Turn 15.

The event will use Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil (HVO) to cut emissions by up to 90%. El Caracol AC will receive €25,000 for educational support projects.
Formula E engages with charities such as Con Ganas de Vivir and visits institutions like the National Institute of Respiratory Diseases during race week. The Inspiration Hour tour involves local communities, aligning with Formula E’s focus on inclusive opportunities within motorsport.
Empowering Women Through FIA Girls on Track
The FIA Girls on Track program will host up to 270 young women during race week at the Mexico City E-Prix. Participants will engage in workshops, gaming sessions, career talks, and a Pit Lane Walk. Events are held with local STEM programs to promote empowerment and education in motorsport.
This initiative supports gender inclusivity by offering opportunities for young women interested in motorsports careers. It aligns with Formula E’s strategy to advance gender equality and support women's pathways into the sport across all race markets.
