FASTag Annual Pass Goes Live: Top 5 Things You Must Know
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has launched a new FASTag Annual Pass for non-commercial private vehicles in the country. This allows users to bypass multiple tolls by paying a flat yearly fee instead of per trip, resulting in significant savings.
1. Price
The pass costs just Rs 3,000 per year, offering better value and convenience than paying individually every time.

2. Eligibility
Only available for private four-wheelers (cars, jeeps, vans). Also, your vehicle must already have a working FASTag linked to its registration and not be blacklisted.
It is also worth mentioning that the FASTag Annual Pass is not valid for commercial vehicles.
3. Validity
Each pass is valid for one year from activation or for up to 200 toll trips, whichever comes first .
4. Where It Works
The pass is applicable at all designated National Highway (NH) and National Expressway (NE) toll plazas across India that support FASTag.
5. How To Activate
1. Ensure your FASTag is active and correctly linked.
2. Access the Rajmarg Yatra App or the NHAI or MoRTH website, and log in.
3. Provide your FASTag and vehicle details.
4. Pay Rs 3,000 via UPI, net banking, or card.
5. The pass will be activated within ~2 hours (some sources suggest up to 24 hours) .
What About Existing FASTag Users?
No new tag is required-your existing FASTag will be upgraded. Once activated, tolls on eligible national roads will not be deducted again until you hit the 200-trip limit or the one-year validity expires.
DriveSpark Thinks
For those commuting frequently on national highways, especially long-distance or daily highway users, this pass offers cost savings, convenience, and time efficiency by eliminating multiple small toll payments and reducing queues. Once your 200-trip or one-year limit ends, your FASTag automatically reverts to normal mode-allowing you to recharge or renew as needed.
