Dacia Spring Recognised As Best EV Bargain At TopGear.com Electric Awards 2025

The Dacia Spring has been honoured as the 'Best EV Bargain' at the TopGear.com Electric Awards 2025, marking its second consecutive win. This recognition underscores its status as a top value choice in electric vehicles. Despite its compact size, the Spring is stylish and full of character, offering affordable electric driving from just £14,995 on-the-road.

Dacia's commitment to providing exceptional value for money is evident with the Spring's accolades. Last year, it was named 'EV Deal of the Century,' and this year's award further cements its reputation. Designed for urban environments, the Spring combines style with practicality, making it an attractive option for city dwellers.

Dacia Spring Wins Best EV Bargain Award

Jack Rix, Editor-In-Chief at Top Gear, praised the Dacia Spring: "For the second year running, the Dacia Spring is the biggest bargain on the planet EV. The Spring’s appeal is that it is everything that most electric cars aren’t: it’s not over-wrought or heavy-handed, it’s honest and enjoyable and manages to keep the dream of a low impact electric car alive."

The Spring aims to make electric mobility accessible to everyone. It comes with a choice between a 45 hp or 65 hp motor powered by a 26.8 kWh battery. This setup provides a range of up to 140 miles (WLTP mixed) or 186 miles (WLTP urban), sufficient for six days of average city driving.

The vehicle features a 30 kW DC charger capable of reaching an 80% charge in under an hour. Luke Broad, Dacia Brand Director for the UK, stated: "When we launched Spring, we rewrote the EV rulebook. While others are now trying to follow these rules, it’s great that TopGear.com recognises we remain both the original and best value brand on the market."

Dacia's history dates back to 1968 and was revitalised by Renault Group in 2004 across Europe and Mediterranean regions. Known for redefining essentials, Dacia offers simple yet reliable cars that align with customer lifestyles. Their models like Sandero and Duster have become benchmarks in their categories.

Dacia's Market Presence

Since launching in the UK in January 2013, Dacia has sold over 260,000 vehicles there. The brand's success story includes models like Jogger and Bigster alongside Spring. With presence in 44 countries and over nine million vehicles sold since 2004, Dacia continues to be a significant player in delivering value-driven automotive solutions.

The consistent recognition of Dacia Spring highlights its affordability and practicality in electric mobility. As more people seek cost-effective options without compromising on quality or features, Dacia remains at the forefront of delivering such solutions globally.
