Dacia Expands Presence With New Retailer Opening In Letchworth, Hertfordshire
A new Dacia dealership has opened in Letchworth, Hertfordshire, as part of a Renault Group facility. This state-of-the-art site spans 1.5 acres and features a showroom for four Dacia cars, an 11-ramp workshop, and space for 100 Approved Used vehicles. Public electric charging is available around the clock for all vehicle brands.
Nearly £500,000 has been invested in this purpose-built retailer, which is conveniently located on Icknield Way, just minutes from the A1. The facility marks the return of a Dacia retailer to the area after more than ten years. It also promises job opportunities by expanding upon the existing team of 30 employees from the previous franchise.
The new dealership showcases Dacia's latest identity with fixtures made from recycled materials. The Bigster, Dacia’s first C-segment SUV, takes centre stage in the showroom. This model was recently introduced to the UK with fanfare from the world’s loudest town crier.
Paul Callis, Managing Director of the new site, expressed pride in representing Dacia and filling a regional gap. He believes that Dacia's adventurous spirit and practical designs will attract many in the home counties. Luke Broad, Dacia Brand Director for the UK, added that this facility sets a benchmark for Dacia and enhances service and sales availability.
Dacia's history dates back to 1968 but was relaunched by Renault Group in 2004 across Europe and Mediterranean countries. Known for offering value-for-money cars by focusing on essentials, Dacia has become a market reference with models like Sandero and Duster.
Dacia's Market Presence
Dacia launched in the UK in January 2013 and quickly became successful as a new car brand. Over 260,000 vehicles have been sold in the UK so far. Globally present in 44 countries, Dacia has sold more than nine million vehicles since its relaunch.
The brand offers simple, reliable cars that align with customers’ lifestyles. Models such as Sandero have been Europe's best-selling retail car since 2017. The Spring is noted as the UK's most affordable electric car.
This new facility not only boosts local service but also adds another chapter to Dacia’s success story by attracting more customers through new model launches aligned with drivers' needs.
