Citroen Launches New C3X Variants - Slashes C3 Lineup Prices By Up To Rs 1.25 Lakh
French carmaker Citroen has launched new range-topping variants of the C3 hatchback, dubbed the C3X. with both naturally aspirated petrol and turbo-petrol engine options.
Prices for the new C3X variants range between Rs 7.91 lakh and Rs 9.90 lakh. The 2025 Citroen C3 can now be booked at dealerships and online, with deliveries expected by early September.

The arrival of the new C3X trim levels has also been accompanied by a price cut for all the other variants on offer, with the updated C3 lineup now starting at Rs 5.25 lakh, a reduction of Rs 98,000, while the Feel variant now costs Rs 1.29 lakh less (all prices mentioned are ex-showroom.

A dealer-fit CNG kit is available for all four variants with the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine at an additional cost of Rs 93,000. The 360-degree camera is a Rs 25,000 optional extra available for only the new C3X variants. The exterior of the new C3 X variants remains largely unchanged except for the addition of a C3 X badge on the tailgate.

Citroen has introduced a new Garnet Red colour option for the C3, available in both monotone and dual-tone styles. The previous Platinum Grey finish has been replaced with Steel Grey, while other colours like Polar White, Cosmo Blue, and Perla Nera Black remain unchanged. The dual-tone Cosmo Blue with Polar White roof option is still offered.
Inside, the top-spec C3 X Shine variants come with features like an auto-dimming inside rear view mirror, keyless entry, push-button start, and a leatherette dashboard finish. The Live and Feel variants feature 'Injected Grey’ and 'Anodized Grey’ plastic finishes instead.

The launch of the new top-spec C3X variants comes as a welcome yet surprising step from Citroen. While the new variants provide more choices and features to potential buyers of the C3 hatchback and the price drop for the older variants sure make them more palatable, the arrival of the updated hatch, so soon after Citroen's announcement of a refresh for its C3-based lineup, caught us slight;y off guard.
