Citroën Announces Price Increase For C3 Aircross SUV In April 2025
In April 2025, Citroën, a French car manufacturer, announced a price increase for its C3 Aircross model. The adjustment affects various configurations, with prices rising by up to Rs 13,000. This change results in a maximum increase of 1.53% across different variants. Both petrol-manual and petrol-automatic versions are included in this update, with specific changes depending on the variant type and seating capacity.
The 1.2L petrol-manual variant of the C3 Aircross now costs Rs 8,62,000, up from Rs 8,49,000, reflecting the 1.53% increase. However, some models like the Plus variant with the same engine remain unchanged at Rs 9,99,000. This selective approach has led to varied impacts across the model range. Turbocharged variants have also experienced price adjustments.

The 1.2L turbo petrol-manual Plus 5-seater's price increased from Rs 12,11,300 to Rs 12,15,300, marking a 0.33% rise. Similar increases apply to other turbo variants across both 5 and 7-seater setups. Including Max and dual-tone models, price hikes range from 0.30% to 0.39%. For automatic variants, Citroën adjusted prices for the 1.2L turbo petrol-automatic models.
The Plus 5-seater automatic variant saw a Rs 4,000 increase to Rs 13,45,300, representing a 0.30% rise. The Max 5-seater and its dual-tone edition, along with the 7-seater variant, all feature similar percentage increases. This pricing strategy aligns with industry norms and reflects market dynamics and production costs.
Citroën's decision to adjust prices early in 2025 reflects economic factors and market trends. While some variants have seen significant increases, others remain unchanged. This selective approach avoids uniform price hikes across the entire Aircross lineup. In March alone, only 69 Citroën C3 Aircross cars were sold over 31 days.

This sales figure includes all variants despite the low number of units sold; the company is now increasing prices. The modest increase suggests it may not significantly impact sales figures. It appears that Citroën has implemented this price correction to manage revenue challenges and balance profit/loss accounts.
