Citroen Basalt & Aircross Dark Edition SUVs Launched: Prices Start At Rs 12.80 Lakh
The Citroen Basalt and Aircross SUVs now feature a new Dark Edition, showcasing blacked-out elements both inside and out. Prices for these models start at Rs 12.80 lakh, ex-showroom. This latest version is available exclusively with the top-spec Max variants of the two SUVs. Notably, there are no mechanical changes in this edition.
Both the Citroen Basalt and Aircross Dark Editions come with a distinctive Perla Nera black paint job. The exterior also features 'DARK' badges on the front doors and boot, setting them apart from standard models. The front moustache and Chevron logo have been darkened to enhance their unique appearance.
Interior Features and Design
Inside, the Citroen SUVs boast a gloss black-finished gear lever and leatherette seats with red stitching. The dashboard is wrapped in leatherette, adding a touch of luxury. Additional features include ambient lighting, footwell lighting, brand-badged seatbelt cushions, and illuminated sill plates.
The Citroen Aircross Dark Edition is available only in a 5-seat configuration. Both models share a common powertrain: a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine producing 110hp. This engine delivers 190Nm with a 6-speed manual transmission (6MT) and 205Nm with a 6-speed automatic transmission (6AT).
Performance and Mileage
The turbocharged engine offers impressive mileage figures: up to 19.5kpl for the Basalt and 18.5kpl for the Aircross. These figures highlight the efficiency of these SUVs despite their sporty enhancements.
The price for the Citroen Basalt Dark Edition starts at Rs 12,80,000 for the Turbo Max MT variant, with a premium of Rs 23,000 over the standard model. The Turbo Max AT variant is priced at Rs 14,10,000.

The Citroen Aircross Dark Edition's pricing begins at Rs 13,13,300 for the Turbo Max MT variant. It carries a premium of Rs 22,500 over its standard counterpart. The Turbo Max AT variant is priced at Rs 14,27,300.
Apart from these models, Citroen has introduced a Dark Edition for its entry-level C3 as well. Starting at Rs 8.38 lakh ex-showroom price point it includes E20 fuel compliance and an expanded fuel tank capacity of 45 litres compared to its previous capacity of 30 litres.
The mid-spec Feel (O) trim of the C3 now comes equipped with turn indicators on ORVMs and adjustable front seat headrests as part of its updates.
