Cadillac Launches All-Electric 2026 ESCALADE IQL With Enhanced Space And Technology
Cadillac is expanding its Escalade lineup with the all-electric 2026 Cadillac ESCALADE IQL. This model combines the features of the ESCALADE IQ with more space for passengers and cargo, catering to customers needing extra room. John Roth, Global Cadillac's vice president, stated, "Escalade has been the best-selling luxury full-size SUV in North America since 2014. The ESCALADE IQL is an important addition to the Escalade franchise and the Cadillac portfolio."
The ESCALADE IQL will be available worldwide, including in the U.S. and Canada, with production starting at General Motors’ Factory ZERO plant in Detroit by mid-2025. Designed to offer maximum space for passengers across all three rows, it also provides ample storage options behind the third row or in the secure eTrunk.
The exterior of the ESCALADE IQL showcases a sophisticated design with a longer silhouette than its predecessor, enhancing third-row spaciousness and rear storage. Under the hood, a large eTrunk compartment offers 12.2 cubic feet of secure storage. Inside, it maintains luxurious features found in the ESCALADE IQ.
The interior includes an Executive Second Row package featuring stowable tray tables, personal screens, dual wireless phone charging pads, and massaging seats with 14-way power adjustment. The third row benefits from over 4 inches of additional legroom and an extra inch of headroom for enhanced comfort.
The ESCALADE IQL incorporates advanced technology for an improved in-cabin experience. It features a curved pillar-to-pillar 55-inch display for infotainment with voice control and navigation. The vehicle accommodates up to seven passengers with a power-folding third row that folds flat for more storage.
The standard AKG Studio 21-speaker audio system can be upgraded to a 42-speaker system with Dolby Atmos for superior sound quality. Standard Super Cruise driver assistance technology is included on all trims for hands-free driving assistance.
Performance Specifications
The ESCALADE IQL offers up to an estimated 460 miles of range on a full charge. At public DC Fast Charging Stations, it can gain up to 116 miles of range in just 10 minutes. The vehicle's foundation is a 24-module GM battery producing 205 kWh.
Al Oppenheiser, chief engineer of ESCALADE IQL, remarked on its design and performance: "ESCALADE IQL delivers on the promise of innovative design, paired with the iconic performance achieved from this EV-specific architecture." The vehicle boasts 750 hp and can accelerate from 0-60 mph in approximately 4.7 seconds.
