BYD Sealion 7 EV Price Set To Increase From 2026

Chinese automaker BYD has announced a price increase for its Sealion 7 EV SUV, effective from January 1, 2026. However, customers who book the vehicle on or before December 31, 2025, will still be able to purchase it at the current ex-showroom price. BYD will announce the new pricing only after the end of this year.

BYD Sealion 7 EV Price and Variants

This car was launched in India as BYD's flagship SUV in February 2025. Since then, it has sold over 2000 units and is available in two variants: Premium and Performance. The price of the BYD Sealion 7 SUV car starts at 48.90 lakhs (ex-showroom) and 54.90 lakhs (ex-showroom).

BYD has equipped this car with a massive 82.56 kWh battery pack, which can achieve a maximum range of 567 km on a single charge. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds. It delivers a maximum power output of 230 kW and 380 Nm of torque. In All Wheel Drive modes, the power levels can reach 390 kW, and the torque levels can reach up to 690 Nm.

It also packs best-in-class safety features such as 11 airbags, a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, an Intelligent power brake system, Traction control, Hill Hold control, Auto hold, Adaptive cruise control, Automatic emergency braking, Lane assist and warning, and many other ADAS safety features.

The cabin of the BYD Sealion 7 is loaded with premium features, starting with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch intelligent rotating touchscreen infotainment system. Additionally, it features a head-up display (HUD)and a 12-speaker DYNASTY AUDIO system.

The steering wheel and seats are finished with premium Nappa leather, along with features such as an 8-way power-adjustable driver's seat and ventilated front seats. Other Convenience features include keyless entry and start, NFC card key access, wireless phone charging, and seamless connectivity through wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. BYD Sealion 7 is sold in the premium electric SUV segment. It competes with established rivals like the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Volvo EX40, and Kia EV6.
