BYD Achieves New Milestone In India: Completes 10,000 Deliveries!
Chinese EV giant BYD (Build Your Dreams) entered the Indian car market in 2021 and has been steadily expanding its presence ever since. Now, BYD has achieved a major milestone - completing 10,000+ deliveries in India, showcasing both rising consumer confidence and the country's shift toward electric mobility.
BYD's 10,000+ Deliveries In India
Despite importing cars as semi-knocked down (SKD) kits, which attract higher taxes, BYD has managed to keep its pricing competitive by assembling vehicles at its Tamil Nadu facility. Delivering over 10,000 electric vehicles is not just a sales milestone but also proof of India's growing readiness to adopt clean energy mobility solutions.

Building Trust Through Ecosystem & Services
BYD hasn't only focused on product launches but also on creating a strong ownership ecosystem. Some of the initiatives include a robust after-sales service network, attractive extended warranty programs for customer assurance, and nationwide roadside assistance for peace of mind.
The company currently operates 44 dealerships across major Indian cities and has tied up with Relux Electric to provide seamless charging infrastructure for its customers. These measures have played a crucial role in winning customer trust.

BYD Sales Performance In India
BYD is currently the 5th largest EV manufacturer in India by sales volume. By late August 2025, BYD had already sold 447 units, indicating August sales will likely surpass July's. If momentum continues, BYD could close 2025 with 5,000+ unit sales, with the festive season expected to boost demand further.
Global Presence & Sustainability Impact
Globally, BYD has sold over 13 million New Energy Vehicles (NEVs). These sales have collectively reduced 106.52 billion kg of carbon emissions (as of July 31, 2025) - equivalent to the CO₂ absorption capacity of 1.77 billion trees.
In terms of brand value, BYD has consistently ranked among the Top 10 Most Valuable Global Automotive Brands (Kantar BrandZ) for 3 years in a row. In 2025, BYD was valued at USD 14.4 billion, marking a 43.6% YoY growth.
DriveSpark Thinks
BYD's 10,000+ deliveries in India mark just the beginning of its ambitious plans in the country. With a growing product portfolio, a strong ecosystem, and a commitment to sustainability, BYD is positioning itself as a serious contender in India's fast-evolving EV market.
