BYD Showcases New Electric And Hybrid Vehicles At Auto Shanghai 2025
BYD, a leader in new-energy vehicles, showcased its latest innovations at Auto Shanghai 2025. The event featured a variety of new models from its brands, including a sports car concept and an estate model with the Super DM hybrid powertrain. These additions highlight BYD's expanded range of appealing vehicles for global audiences.
The SEALION 6 DM-i and SEALION 6 EV exemplify BYD's prowess in new-energy powertrains. These mid-size SUVs, based on the DM Hybrid architecture and e-Platform 3.0 Evo, showcase advanced technology and Ocean Aesthetics design. Both models offer family-friendly practicality with dimensions of 4,810mm in length and a wheelbase of 2,820mm.
BYD's hybrid expansion is evident with the SEAL 6 DM-i Wagon. This estate model combines practicality, sharp styling, and low running costs. It features a classic wagon silhouette with a distinctive waistline and semi-recessed door handles for aerodynamic efficiency. The SEAL 6 DM-i Wagon measures 4,850mm in length and has a wheelbase of 2,790mm.
The Dynasty-D concept SUV debuted at Shanghai alongside the HAN and TANG models. This full-size SUV boasts a striking design with a 2.4-metre integrated light bar and brushstroke-like contours on its side profile. Inside, it blends craft-inspired elements like bamboo inlays with high-tech features such as eight interconnected screens.
DENZA introduced the Z Concept Sports Car at the show, marking its European debut. This supercar focuses on peak performance and driver enjoyment with its aerodynamic design and adjustable rear wing for improved handling. Inside, it features a high-strength roll cage and carbon-fibre bucket seats for an immersive experience.
The DENZA Z Concept Sports Car incorporates advanced suspension technology using DENZA's e3 Platform. It includes a steer-by-wire system with a folding steering wheel for enhanced safety. The DiSus-M Magnetorheological Body Control System allows real-time damping adjustments to balance agility and comfort.
Luxury SUV Offerings
YANGWANG showcased the U8L luxury SUV at Auto Shanghai 2025. This six-seat vehicle offers exceptional space with its 5,400mm length and 3,250mm wheelbase. It features executive luxury elements like retractable door handles while maintaining extreme safety features such as emergency water flotation.
FANGCHENGBAO displayed its off-road-focused models at the event, including BAO 5, BAO 8, and BAO 3. Special editions were also presented alongside BYD's intelligent in-car drone system demonstration.
