BMW M4 CS Edition VR46 Revealed As A High-Octane Tribute to Valentino Rossi
BMW's M division has pulled the covers off the M4 CS Edition VR46, a limited-run special edition celebrating MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi's 46th birthday. With only 92 units up for grabs, the BMW M4 CS Edition VR46 pays homage to "The Doctor" while packing serious firepower under the hood.
BMW is offering the M4 CS Edition VR46 in two distinct versions - Sport and Style. The Sport model wears a glossy Marina Bay Blue metallic paint job, contrasted by Rossi's iconic number 46 in Tanzanite Blue metallic on the sides. Meanwhile, the Style edition flips the script with a Frozen Tanzanite Blue exterior and the 46 in Frozen Marina Bay Blue.
Both models feature neon yellow accents on the kidney grille, brake callipers, and a single spoke on each wheel - a nod to racing tyre valve markings. The Sport variant adds another yellow stripe running along the roofline. To cap it off, Rossi's signature and a bold VR46 logo are proudly displayed on the carbon-fibre roof.
Step inside, and the M4 CS Edition VR46 continues to make an impression. The cabin is draped in dark Midnight Blue with contrasting yellow highlights. The M Carbon bucket seats, finished in Black/Night Blue Merino leather, feature Sao Paulo Yellow Alcantara on the shoulder sections for an extra splash of flair.
BMW has also gone the extra mile with details - an illuminated VR46 logo on the seatbacks, a yellow 12 o'clock marker on the Alcantara-wrapped M steering wheel, and a special "01|46" badge on the carbon centre console, marking each car's unique production number.
Under the bonnet, the BMW M4 CS Edition VR46 packs the familiar 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged inline-six, which is tuned to churn out 543bhp and 650Nm. Power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox and BMW's M xDrive system.
This setup pushes the M4 CS VR46 from 0 to 100km/h in just 3.4 seconds, while the M Driver's Package ensures a top speed of 302km/h. The special edition car also features adaptive M suspension, M carbon-ceramic brakes, and a titanium exhaust with black-finished quad tailpipes that unleash an aggressive soundtrack worthy of the Rossi name.
Owning the BMW M4 CS Edition VR46 isn't just about the car. Buyers will get an exclusive meet-and-greet with Valentino Rossi at his VR46 Motor Ranch in Tavullia, Italy. They'll also take part in a BMW M Driving Experience at the Misano World Circuit, where Rossi has notched multiple wins - including GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup victories in 2023 and 2024.
With only 92 units available worldwide - 46 in each variant - the BMW M4 CS Edition VR46 is a future collector's dream. The special edition will be available only in select markets.
