BMW Group India Collaborates With Bangalore International Airport For Luxury Electric Vehicle Transport
BMW Group India, a prominent player in the luxury car market, has partnered with Bangalore International Airport. This collaboration designates BMW as the Luxury Mobility Partner for the VIP terminal. The initiative involves using BMW's electric vehicles to transport influential passengers to their flights, offering a unique blend of luxury and sustainability.
Traditionally, airports use buses and vans for passenger transport. However, Bangalore International Airport is taking a different approach by employing luxury cars for its VVIP passengers. This move aligns with practices in some foreign countries where high-end vehicles like Rolls-Royce are used for similar purposes.

As part of this partnership, BMW will provide its i7 Electric Car and MINI Countryman Electric Car at Kempegowda International Airport. MINI, a subsidiary of BMW Group, is known for its compact yet premium vehicles. The MINI Countryman is an electric car that combines advanced technology with ample interior space despite its small size.
The BMW i7 is a luxury sedan that offers comfort and advanced features. Both the i7 and MINI Countryman will be stationed at the VIP terminal, enhancing the travel experience for dignitaries and celebrities. These vehicles reflect BMW's commitment to innovation and sustainable performance.
Vikram Pawah, Chairman and CEO of BMW Group India, stated, "At BMW Group India, we are committed to shaping the future of mobility with innovation, luxury, and sustainable performance. The BMW i7 and MINI Countryman electric cars, which will be the official choice for VIP transportation at the VIP terminal of Kempegowda International Airport, redefine premium travel with their unparalleled elegance and zero-emission performance. When dignitaries, business leaders, and celebrities travel through Bengaluru, they will experience the epitome of electric luxury and cutting-edge technology. They will set new benchmarks for responsible mobility in India."
BMW's Presence in India
BMW Group has been active in India since 2007 and operates a manufacturing plant in Chennai. This partnership with Bangalore International Airport is part of their strategy to strengthen their presence in the Indian market. By offering a luxurious travel experience at the airport, BMW aims to attract affluent individuals who may consider purchasing a BMW vehicle after experiencing its comfort firsthand.
This initiative not only enhances the airport's service offerings but also aligns with global trends towards sustainable luxury transportation. By integrating electric vehicles into airport operations, Bangalore International Airport sets a precedent for responsible mobility solutions in India.
