BMW Concept Speedtop: A Unique Limited-Run Model Showcasing Elegance And Performance
BMW has unveiled a new concept car, the BMW Concept Speedtop, at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2025 in Italy. This event is a prestigious gathering celebrating historic vehicles by Lake Como. The Concept Speedtop combines the elegance of a shooting brake with unique proportions and will be available in a limited series for collectors.
The BMW Concept Speedtop features a distinctive design with a pronounced V-shape front end, shark-nose styling, and slim headlights. Its illuminated kidney grille adds to its striking presence. The car's dynamic Touring profile is enhanced by a central spline running from the bonnet over the roof to the rear spoiler.
The interior of the BMW Concept Speedtop showcases meticulous craftsmanship with high-quality materials. Traditional brogue-style details accentuate leather surfaces, highlighting the manufactory-level expertise involved. The two-tone colour scheme connects the exterior and interior, using "Floating Sunstone Maroon" and "Moonstone White" tones.
The trunk is leather-covered with brogue-style perforations and features a light beam that illuminates the luggage compartment. This compartment is divided into two sections to accommodate large items for multi-day trips. The design was realised with expertise from BMW Group's Manufactory workshop in Dingolfing.
Under the hood, the BMW Concept Speedtop boasts BMW's most powerful V8 engine. This ensures it excels not only in design but also in performance. Bernd Körber, Senior Vice President of BMW Brand and Product Management, noted last year's success with the BMW Concept Skytop led to this year's limited production run of 70 units for the Concept Speedtop.
The collaboration with Italian manufacturer Schedoni enhances the vehicle's luxury appeal. Known for crafting exclusive leather goods, Schedoni created custom bags that fit seamlessly into the car's design concept. Two storage areas behind the seats hold these bespoke bags, while a matching weekend bag fits in the trunk.
