BMW Concept Speedtop Showcased At Lake Como's Concorso D'Eleganza Villa D'Este 2025
The BMW Group has unveiled the BMW Concept Speedtop at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2025, a prestigious event for historic vehicles in Italy. This new concept car, which will be available in a limited series, combines the elegance of a shooting brake with sporty touring features. It aims to redefine dynamism and elegance, even when stationary.
Adrian van Hooydonk, Head of BMW Group Design, stated, "A true BMW exudes dynamism and elegance even when it’s standing still." The car's distinctive profile sets it apart in the automotive world. Its V-shaped front end, shark-nose design, slim lights, and illuminated grille create an unmistakable presence.
The interior of the BMW Concept Speedtop is crafted with meticulous attention to detail. High-quality materials and traditional brogue-style details highlight its craftsmanship. The two-tone colour scheme links the exterior and interior seamlessly, featuring "Floating Sunstone Maroon" and "Moonstone White" hues.
The BMW Concept Speedtop is powered by BMW's most powerful V8 engine. Bernd Körber, Senior Vice President of BMW Brand and Product Management, noted that last year's positive response to the BMW Concept Skytop led to a limited production run. This year, 70 units of the Speedtop will be produced for collectors and enthusiasts.
The vehicle's dynamic Touring profile is accentuated by its central spline running from bonnet to rear spoiler. A colour gradient on the roof enhances this shape. The car's athletic design is further highlighted by broad shoulders and specially designed two-tone wheels.
Interior Features and Collaboration
The interior offers luxurious craftsmanship with leather-trimmed surfaces and brogue-style perforations. A light beam illuminates the luggage compartment, divided into two sections for large items. Schedoni collaborated on exclusive leather goods for the car, including custom bags matching its colour scheme.
The trunk is also leather-covered with brogue-style perforations. Two storage areas behind the seats accommodate Schedoni’s bespoke bags. A matching weekend bag fits in the trunk as well. The Manufactory workshop at BMW's Dingolfing plant contributed their expertise to this project.
