BMW Cars Now Become Cheaper By Up To Rs 9 Lakh: All Details Here
The wave of price corrections following the recent GST reduction has now reached the luxury car market. The latest to announce price cut is BMW India.
With the latest price cut, BMW has passed on the tax benefits to customers, making its premium lineup more attractive to luxury car buyers.

As per a report by CNBC-TV18, luxury carmakers including BMW, Audi, and Mercedes-Benz are expected to see price benefits in the range of 8-10 percent. In line with this,
BMW X7
BMW's flagship SUV, the X7, leads the price cut list with a reduction of Rs 9 lakh. The SUV, which earlier retailed at Rs 1.34 crore, is now priced at Rs 1.25 crore. This significant correction enhances the appeal of the luxury seven-seater, which competes against the Mercedes-Benz GLS and Audi Q7 in India.
BMW X5 & X1
The BMW X5, one of the brand's most popular luxury SUVs, has seen a price drop of Rs 6.3 lakh, bringing its new price down to Rs 93.7 lakh. Meanwhile, the entry-level luxury SUV, the BMW X1, is now priced at Rs 50.6 lakh after a cut of Rs 1.8 lakh. These reductions could make BMW's SUV lineup especially attractive to aspirational buyers upgrading from premium mass-market models.
Luxury Sedans Benefit Too
The sedan range has not been left behind. The long-wheelbase BMW 5 Series LWB, known for its executive comfort, now costs Rs 72.4 lakh after a reduction of Rs 4.1 lakh. Similarly, the 3 Series LWB sees a cut of Rs 3.4 lakh, bringing its new price down to Rs 60.5 lakh. For younger buyers and enthusiasts, the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé is now more attainable at Rs 45.3 lakh after a reduction of Rs 1.6 lakh.
Luxury Segment Becomes More Competitive
These reductions arrive at a time when the Indian luxury car segment is witnessing steady growth, driven by rising demand from affluent buyers in metros and emerging cities. With Audi and Mercedes-Benz also expected to announce similar adjustments, competition in the premium car space is set to intensify.
DriveSpark Thinks
By directly passing on the GST benefit to customers, BMW not only strengthens its value proposition but also signals intent to consolidate its position in India's luxury market. The price cuts, ranging from Rs 1.6 lakh to Rs 9 lakh, are expected to provide a strong push to festive season demand.
