BMW 5 Series Long Wheelbase Updated Without Any Price Change
German automaker BMW has updated its new 5 Series LWB (Long Wheelbase) with additional features, without changing its price. The car remains priced at ₹73,35,000 (ex-showroom) and benefits from the new GST structure as mentioned on their official website. The updates include a new panoramic sunroof and additional driver-assistance features. It is only available in the 530Li M Sport LWB variant.
BMW 5 Series LWB Updated Features
The car now comes equipped with a Sky Lounge Panoramic Glass Sunroof that enhances the cabin experience, giving a more airy feel. It also features an LED-based light design that elevates the interior ambience.
The BMW 5 Series LWB is now safer with the addition of the Driving Assistant Plus safety suite. It includes features such as lane-change warning, front-collision warning, active cruise control with Stop & Go, rear-collision warning, and cross-traffic warning.
Mild-Hybrid Powertrain
The car is powered by the same 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system and an RWD setup. This engine produces 258 PS and 400 Nm of torque, mated to a Steptronic automatic transmission. The sedan can reach a top speed of 250 km/h and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 6.5 seconds. The mild hybrid system can produce 8.5 kW (11 hp) of power and 25 Nm of torque.
Exterior Design
On the exterior, the car features a sporty stance with aerodynamic bumpers and sculpted side panels. At the front, it gets an illuminated Kidney Grille, Adaptive LED headlights, and DRLs.
It also features 19-inch M light-alloy wheels that give it an exceptional look. The satin aluminium exterior line enhances the car, adding a high-quality finish that flows into the C-pillar, which receives a 5 Series badging.
Luxurious Cabin
The cabin features a premium dual-tone upholstery with sculpted seats wrapped in high-quality vegan materials. The dashboard gets a wooden finish with ambient lighting and an Interaction Bar. The centre console gets a glass finish and is equipped with multiple controls for a more premium feel.
Advanced Features
Additional features include an Automatic air conditioning with 4-zone climate control, increased rear legroom due to its longer wheelbase, BMW Live Cockpit Plus with a twin-screen infotainment setup, Digital Key Plus, Connected Drive, Wireless charging for both front and rear passengers, an 18-speaker 655-watt Bowers & Wilkins audio system, and front ventilated seats for more Luxury and driving comfort during long drives.
