BMW 3 Series 50 Jahre Edition Launched At ₹ 64 Lakh - Only 100 Units Available
German luxury carmaker BMW has launched the limited "50 Jahre Edition" of the 3 Series in India. The BMW 330Li M Sport 50 Jahre Edition is priced at ₹ 64 lakh, while the BMW M340i 50 Jahre Edition sports a price tag of ₹ 76.90 lakh (all prices mentioned are ex-showroom).
BMW is only offering 50 units of each variant of the 50 Jahre Edition to customers in India. The 50 Jahre Editions mark the 50th year of the BMW 3 Seriesand are priced higher than their standard versions. The 330Li carries a premium of ₹ 1.40 lakh, while the M340i costs ₹ 1 lakh more.
The BMW 330Li 50 Jahre Edition features M high-gloss Shadowline finishes across the grille, windows, diffuser, and exhaust tips and a laser-engraved "1/50" badge on the B-pillar.Inside, the limited-run sedan is equipped with Carbon-fibre interior trim, a curved digital display, a head-up display with augmented navigation, a panoramic sunroof, and adaptive LED headlights. The 30 Jahre Edition features Vernasca leather upholstery in either Cognac or Black.
The limited-run 330Li retains the mechanical bits of the regular car. The 330 Li features a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol engine that produces 258 hp and 400 Nm of peak torque. The 330Li accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds.
The M340i "50 Jahre Edition" receives a more aggressive exterior package. It comes with gloss-black M badges, black rear lettering, 19-inch Jet Black alloy wheels, red M Sport brakes, and a rear spoiler. Limited-edition emblems are fitted on the grille, boot, and wheels.
The M340i 50 Jahre Edition's gets sport seats with M stitching, carbon-fibre trim, Anthracite headliner, and a steering wheel marked at 12 o'clock in red. Each car is also delivered with a 1:18 scale model of the classic BMW 3.0 CSL coupe.
The M340i 50 Jahre Edition sports a 3.0-litre straight-six turbocharged petrol engine that pushes out 374 hp and 500 Nm of peak torque. The M340i sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds.
