Bidding Opens For Unique Porsche RM Sotheby’s 911 S/T Auction Benefiting American Red Cross Disaster Relief
Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (PCNA) and RM Sotheby’s are auctioning a unique 911 S/T to support the American Red Cross. The proceeds will aid those affected by disasters, including California's wildfires and North Carolina's floods. The auction, supported by Andreas Preuninger and Porsche enthusiast Orlando Bloom, runs until February 20th and features a limited-edition 911 S/T Porsche Design timepiece.
The auction includes several exclusive items like a signed owner's manual pouch by Andreas Preuninger, Director of the GT model line. The 911 S/T is number 1,919 out of 1,963 vehicles created for the Porsche 911's 60th anniversary. It is the only one from PCNA’s internal pool available in the U.S. without an assigned owner.
This particular 911 S/T has undergone meticulous preparation in Europe, covering 932 miles or 1,500 kilometers under strict guidelines. It remains unregistered with a total mileage of 956 miles. The car boasts a Heritage Design Package celebrating six decades of Porsche 911 history.
The vehicle is painted in Shore Blue Metallic with Ceramica-coloured wheels, both exclusive to this variant. A classic Porsche crest adorns various parts of the car, including the steering wheel and headrests. Its engine is a naturally aspirated flat-six with 518 hp paired with a six-speed manual gearbox.
The interior features Full Bucket Seats with Classic Cognac cloth centers and black pinstripes. Two-tone semi-aniline leather trim in Black/Classic Cognac adds to its heritage appeal. Other elements from Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur complete the package.
Additional options enhance its touring capability: a front axle lift system for better ground clearance, an extended range fuel tank, auto-dimming mirrors with rain sensors, rear Park Assist, and a BOSE Surround Sound audio system. This vehicle is offered without reserve.
Supporting Disaster Relief Efforts
Orlando Bloom has lent his support to raise awareness for this auction. RM Sotheby’s waived their usual fees to ensure maximum funds reach the Red Cross. Timo Resch, President and CEO of PCNA stated: "This auction is not just about a rare car; it’s about making a difference in the lives of those who need it most."
The Red Cross responds to over 65,000 disasters annually across the U.S., providing essential aid during crises like home fires and severe weather events. Since California's fires began, they have provided over 14,500 overnight stays and distributed more than 102,000 relief supplies.
