Best Micro SUV - Tata Punch
The Tata Punch SUV has emerged as India's best Micro SUV in 2025. It is priced from 5.49 lakh (ex-showroom) and is available with petrol, CNG, and EV powertrains. The regular ICE variant is powered by a 1.2-litre Revotron engine, paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT transmission.
Though it's a micro SUV, it comes with a spacious cabin, a single-pane sunroof, 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, a fortified cabin, a reverse parking camera, 187 mm ground clearance, drive modes, cruise control, and a rear defogger. This car has received a 5-star Global NCAP crash rating, making it one of the safest SUVs sold in India.
Best Sub 4 Meter SUV - Hyundai Venue
After a very tough competition with cars like the Kia Sonet, Skoda Kylaq and the Tata Nexon, we have chosen the Hyundai Venue as India's best sub-4 meter SUV in 2025. This car stands out because of its premium features, safety, and multiple powertrain options.
The latest update features a refreshed cabin, updated exterior styling with redesigned LED headlights and DRLs, and several feature enhancements. Some key features include a large panoramic touchscreen infotainment system, premium audio system, front ventilated seats, sunroof, reclining rear seats, and premium upholstery.

The Hyundai Creta starts at 10.72 lakh (ex-showroom) and offers LED lighting setup, a premium cabin, reclining rear seats, a panoramic sunroof, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a Bose premium audio system, and Hyundai Bluelink connected technology.

Best Mid Size SUV - Mahindra XUV700
The Mahindra XUV 700 is the best mid-size SUV in India. Very soon, the XUV 700 will transform into XUV 7XO with many of its features borrowed from its electric sibling XEV 9s. The current model is priced from 13.66 lakh (ex-showroom).
It is powered by two engine options: 2.0L mStallion turbo petrol and 2.2L mHawk turbo diesel engines. Best Electric SUV - Mahindra BE06
India's best electric SUV is obviously the Mahindra BE06. People love this car for its luxury features, premium build, superior power and range. Mahindra even launched two special editions of this car, the Batman edition and the Formula E edition, both of which got wide attention among buyers.
This Electric SUV car is priced at 18.90 lakhs (ex-showroom), and it is sold in two battery packs: 59 kWh and 79 kWh that offer 557 and 683 km of range. This car can also perform like a performance sports car as it can go upto a top speed of 202 km/h.
Best Luxury SUV car - Mercedes-Benz GLS
India's best luxury SUV is the Mercedes-Benz GLS. It offers a three-row spacious cabin with top tech and comfort features. The car is priced at around 1.32 crore (ex-showroom) and is available in both petrol and diesel powertrains.
It features a premium cabin with the latest MBUX multimedia system, a Burmester surround sound system, ambient lighting, luxury seating, and an updated steering wheel and upholstery. Safety features include a 360-degree camera, advanced driver assistance functions, and the Mercedes Pre-Safe system.
