Bernie Collins And Andy Stevenson Appointed As New Trustees Of The Grand Prix Trust
The Grand Prix Trust, the charitable arm of Formula One, has welcomed two new trustees to its board. Bernie Collins from Sky Sports F1 and Andy Stevenson, Sporting Director at Aston Martin Aramco F1, have joined under the leadership of Martin Brundle OBE. Collins is known for her strategic insights on Sky Sports, drawing from her experience with Aston Martin F1 and other teams.
Andy Stevenson brings extensive experience to the board, having participated in over 600 Grands Prix since starting as a mechanic with Jordan F1 in 1991. He advanced to Chief Mechanic before becoming Sporting Director. His deep knowledge of the sport will be invaluable to the Trust's mission.

Founded by Sir Jackie Stewart in 1987, the Grand Prix Trust supports Formula One personnel both trackside and in factories. It offers assistance when needed, extending help to employees and their families who have been part of the F1 supply chain for at least two years. The Trust also provides bursaries for underprivileged children pursuing motorsport careers.
Long-standing trustees include notable figures like Sir Patrick Head and Ross Brawn OBE. Jonathan Wheatley from Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber is also among them. These individuals bring a wealth of experience and dedication to the Trust's objectives.
Martin Brundle expressed his excitement about welcoming Collins and Stevenson: "We are delighted to welcome Bernie Collins and Andy Stevenson as additional Trustees for the Grand Prix Trust." He highlighted their passion for motorsport and their potential contributions as the Trust expands its reach.
Bernie Collins shared her enthusiasm: "I’m really excited and privileged to be joining the board of trustees for the Grand Prix Trust." She looks forward to contributing positively to the Trust's efforts.
Supporting Motorsport Community
The Grand Prix Trust offers various services such as financial aid, medical advice, and guidance on rights and benefits. Each case is handled with compassion and confidentiality. The organisation fosters a community spirit through social events, factory tours, and reunions for current and former F1 personnel.
Andy Stevenson expressed his honour at joining: "I’m honoured to have been invited to join the Board of Trustees for the Grand Prix Trust." He emphasised the importance of supporting those who contribute significantly behind the scenes in motorsport.
The bursary fund has been particularly successful in helping students transition from motorsport colleges into industry roles. This initiative completes a comprehensive support system that reflects care, respect, and long-term commitment within Formula One.
The addition of Bernie Collins and Andy Stevenson strengthens an already robust team dedicated to supporting individuals who have shaped Formula One over its 75-year history. Their involvement promises continued success for the Grand Prix Trust's initiatives.
