Bentley Reveals Key Details of Its First EV Car Coming In 2026
Bentley Motors has now revealed some key features of its first-ever EV, which will debut by the end of this year. The brand says it will be an urban electric SUV and also promises to launch one new electric vehicle every year.
Bentley EV could use the PPE platform.
This new EV could be based on the Porsche Cayenne Electric car, and could use the same PPE (Premium Platform Electric) platform co-developed by Audi and Porsche. This platform is only suitable for larger cars. Hence, the new Bentley EV will be a large urban SUV but will be under 5 meters long.

It will have the same 108 kWh dual-motor as the Cayenne Electric. The Porsche has a total range of 600 kilometres on a single battery charge. So the Bentley EV should have a similar range and power. The other cars based on this platform are the Audi A6 e-tron, Audi Q6 e-tron, and Porsche Macan EV.
Ultra-Quick charging
The biggest highlight of this EV car will be its ultra-quick charging capability. Bentley says these are 'industry-leading charging speeds' and claims it will cover a range of 161km with just seven minutes of charging. The charging speeds could be around 300 kW, which is really industry-leading.

2035 Electrification dream
Bentley plans to offer only electric models by the year 2035. So, they will launch a new electric car every year, and their recent ICE& plug-in hybrid models like the Continental GT and Flying Spur will be on sale until their EV dream is fulfilled.
Once the Bentley EV is launched, it will take on electric cars from Rolls-Royce, Porsche, Audi, and Mercedes-Benz. The EV will launch by the end of 2026, and deliveries are expected to start in 2027. Apart from this, a new supersport model will also be unveiled, and the brand says it will be the most driver-focused, lightest, and Rear Wheel Drive Continental GT ever.
