Jett continued his strong performance in moto 2, taking another holeshot with Hunter close behind. While Jett pulled away from Jorge Prado, Hunter overtook Eli Tomac to secure third on lap six. Jo Shimoda faced difficulties in the first 250 moto due to an early crash that left him near last place. Despite another fall, he fought back to finish tenth. In moto 2, Shimoda started better in fourth place and climbed to second by maintaining his pace, securing fifth overall.

Other Red Riders had varied results: Joey Savatgy finished twelfth overall, Cornelius Tondel seventeenth, Michael Witkowski twenty-eighth, Deven Sorensen thirty-fourth, and Brandon Ray thirty-fifth.

Rider Reflections on Performance

"I’m focusing on each race as it comes—no point in thinking about championships this early," said Jett Lawrence about his approach to racing this season.

"I’m just putting in work—always trying to get stronger and improve," expressed Hunter Lawrence regarding his ongoing efforts to enhance performance.

"It’s kind of the same situation as last year—just need to keep building," commented Jo Shimoda on his current progress compared to previous seasons.

Lars Lindstrom Praises Team Efforts

Lars Lindstrom praised all three riders' performances at Southwick: "This track is definitely the most unique track we have on the circuit... Our riders today made it look like it wasn’t that rough."

The next event is scheduled for Saturday at Honda RedBud National in Buchanan, Michigan where teams will compete again under challenging conditions similar to those faced recently at Southwick.
