Automobili Lamborghini Achieves Success At The 2025 Red Dot Awards With Entire Hybrid Range
Lamborghini has achieved remarkable success at the 2025 Red Dot Awards, securing accolades for its entire model lineup. The Revuelto received the top honour, the Red Dot: Best of the Best, in the Product Design category. Additionally, both the Urus SE and Temerario were recognised with Red Dot Awards in the same category. These achievements underscore Lamborghini's commitment to innovative design while maintaining its legendary performance.
The Revuelto stands out as Lamborghini's first High Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV) hybrid super sports car. It sets a new benchmark in performance and driving pleasure with its groundbreaking architecture and design. The vehicle boasts a 1015 CV power output, achieved through a combination of a new combustion engine and three electric motors, along with a debut double-clutch gearbox on a 12-cylinder Lamborghini.
Mitja Borkert, Design Director at Automobili Lamborghini, expressed his pride in receiving such prestigious recognition. He stated: "Receiving a prestigious recognition through the Red Dot Award is a confirmation and appreciation of the passionate and determined creative work of the Centro Stile team, and of the design that results from that energy." This acknowledgment celebrates the dedication of the Centro Stile team to enhancing Lamborghini's unique design DNA.
The Temerario also earned recognition in Product Design. This super sports car features a 920 CV twin-turbo V8 hybrid powertrain, delivering exceptional performance and comfort. Designed entirely in Sant'Agata Bolognese, it is capable of reaching 10,000 rpm. The Temerario offers an unparalleled driving experience with ample space for passengers and luggage.
The Urus SE completed Lamborghini's trio of awards by winning in its category. As a Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV), it combines advanced technology with an 800 CV hybrid powertrain. This ensures outstanding comfort, performance, efficiency, emissions control, and driving pleasure. Its dual thermal and electric systems provide unmatched torque and power values within its segment.
For nearly seventy years, the Red Dot Design Award has been one of the most esteemed competitions globally. It recognises excellence in industrial design across three categories: Product Design, Brands & Communication Design, and Design Concept. The awards aim to honour innovative projects worldwide.
Centro Stile's Impact
The Centro Stile department plays a crucial role in shaping Lamborghini's iconic style. Established over two decades ago, it continues to guide the brand's creative vision by ensuring every car reflects Lamborghini’s bold DNA. Mitja Borkert added: "The unique silhouette and extreme proportions with distinctive and recognizable lines are key elements of Lamborghini’s design DNA."
The official awards ceremony will take place on 8 July at Essen's Aalto Theater in Germany. These accolades affirm Lamborghini’s pioneering role in automotive design by blending tradition with innovation to create cars that evoke emotion while setting industry standards.
