Skoda Vision 7S Concept Showcased At Auto Expo 2025 - A Vision Of A Future That's Already Here
In early 2022, Skoda unveiled the Vision 7S Concept, giving us all a glimpse into Skoda's electric future but also showcasing a shift in its design philosophy. With its debut in India at Auto Expo 2025 nearly three years after its global reveal, the Vision 7S Concept is finally bringing Skoda's electric design language into the spotlight here.
The Vision 7S Concept features a distinctive exterior that breaks away from traditional Skoda design norms, showcasing what future EVs from the brand could look like when they start arriving in the very near future.

Vision 7S Concept's front fascia is dominated by a reinterpretation of the iconic Skoda grille, now closed off in line with electric vehicle design trends, flanked by vertically positioned LED headlights. These elements are integrated with LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) above the grille. The front bumper stands out with its seven-slat design, while a silver skid plate and black cladding underline the SUV's rugged aesthetics.
Moving to the interior, the Vision 7S Concept prioritizes sustainability, using eco-friendly materials throughout its cabin, adorned in a unique black and green palette with vibrant orange accents. This colour scheme extends to the bucket-style three-row seating, which features integrated headrests and orange seatbelts, creating a cohesive and striking interior design. The dashboard boasts a minimalist layout, highlighted by a two-spoke oval steering wheel adorned with the 'Skoda' name, and a dashboard devoid of physical buttons, emphasizing a futuristic appeal.

The incorporation of innovative technology is evident within the Vision 7S Concept. It offers a host of advanced features, including electrically adjustable seats for both the front and middle rows, ambient lighting, and a panoramic glass roof that adds to the sense of space and luxury. The centerpiece is a 14.6-inch touchscreen paired with an 8-inch digital driver's display, offering a seamless interface for the driver. Moreover, the addition of an augmented reality (AR) heads-up display and multiple wireless phone chargers enhances the technological sophistication of the vehicle.
Underpinning the Skoda Vision 7S Concept's impressive features is its robust powertrain. Equipped with an 89 kWh battery pack, the concept promises a WLTP-rated range of up to 600 km, positioning it as a competitive player in the EV market. The fast-charging capability of up to 200 kW allows it to recharge from 10-80 percent in approximately 30 minutes, showcasing Skoda's commitment to not just design and comfort, but also performance and convenience.

The Vision 7S showcases a 'Relax' mode, uniquely designed for stationary use. This mode retracts the driver's display and touchscreen, allowing the latter to rotate into a landscape orientation, perfect for streaming content during pauses in the journey. This feature underscores Skoda's attention to the evolving needs of drivers and passengers alike, prioritizing comfort and entertainment.
Although Skoda has stated that the Vision 7S Concept will not enter production, it serves as a harbinger for what is to come. The concept car paves the way for three new electric vehicles that Skoda plans to launch globally by 2026. This strategy not only emphasizes Skoda’s dedication to expanding its EV lineup but also signals its commitment to innovation and sustainability.
