Auto Expo 2025: Montra Electric EVIATOR, Super Cargo Launched | More Electric Commercial Vehicles
On 18th January 2025, Montra Electric introduced two groundbreaking electric vehicles at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 – the 'EVIATOR’ (e-SCV) and the Super Cargo (e 3-Wheeler). This launch, signifies a major leap towards sustainable transportation solutions.
The EVIATOR, designed for superior performance and durability, and the Super Cargo, tailored to meet the diverse needs of both fleet operators and individual entrepreneurs, showcase Montra Electric's commitment to innovation and clean mobility.
EVIATOR and Super Cargo Prices
The EVIATOR, an electric small commercial vehicle (e-SCV), emerges as an industry leader with a certified range of 245 km and a real-life range of 170 km, boasting the highest power of 80 kW and torque of 300 Nm. Offering a warranty of up to 7 years or 2.5 lakh km, its pricing begins from INR 15.99 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The Super Cargo, an electric three-wheeler, also sets a high standard with a certified range exceeding 200 km and a practical range of 150 km. Available in three cargo body types and featuring a rapid 15-minute full charge capability, its price starts from INR 4.37 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
Montra Electric's Future Plan
Mr. Arun Murugappan, Chairman of Montra Electric (TI Clean Mobility), expressed his enthusiasm about the launch, stating, "As part of the Murugappa Group, we are committed to innovative and sustainable clean mobility solutions." This event marks the introduction of India's first Electric Heavy Commercial 55 Ton Truck RHINO, which has already achieved over 5 million km with various customers.
Montra Electric, with its diverse portfolio in last-mile three-wheelers, small and heavy commercial vehicles, and electric tractors, aims to significantly contribute to India's goal of achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2070.
Mr. Jalaj Gupta, Managing Director of Montra Electric (TI Clean Mobility), highlighted the EVIATOR as India's first TRU-EV, redefining mid-mile and last-mile mobility with its innovative design, robust performance, and exceptional durability. The EVIATOR's advanced telematics ensure over 95% fleet uptime, supported by customized charging and aftermarket solutions to maximize daily vehicle usage.
He also emphasized the unique features of the Super-Cargo, such as the industry-first driver's seat belt, front disc brakes, and spacious ergonomic driver's cabin, along with a quick 15-minute full charging option.
Growing The Market
The launch event was attended by Montra Electric's entire leadership team, including Mr. Vellayan Subbiah, Vice-Chairman; Mr. Roy Kurian, Business Head–3 Wheelers; and Mr. Saju Nair, CEO, Small Commercial Vehicles.
