MG 7 Trophy Showcased At Auto Expo 2025 - MG's Sporty Camry Rival
British carmaker MG has showcased the "7 Trophy" sedan at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The MG 7 Trophy is set to challenge the likes of the Toyota Camry and the soon-to-arrive Skoda Superb in India.
The heart of the MG 7 sedan is its 2-litre turbo-petrol engine, capable of generating 265 PS and 405 Nm of torque. The turbo-petrol engine is paired with a smooth 9-speed automatic transmission.
The MG 7 Trophy showcases a bold external aesthetic, marked by slim LED headlights that flank a grille adorned with chrome elements, extending across the front fascia. This is complemented by sleek T-shaped LED Daytime Running Lights that enhance its aggressive stance.
The MG 7 Trophy sedan's aerodynamic design is accentuated by a sloping bonnet, while the sides boast 19-inch alloy wheels and body cladding that further embody its sporty essence. The rear end features a tailgate-mounted active spoiler and a connected LED tail light setup, alongside dual exhaust tailpipes.

Within its cabin, the MG 7 Trophy does not skimp on luxury or sportiness. It comes equipped with racing-style bucket seats wrapped in leatherette, alongside a dual-tone theme that extends throughout the interior. The dashboard is home to an integrated panel that features both the 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment screen and the 10.25-inch digital driver's display.
The steering wheel features flattened top and bottom sections, along with a supersport button while the centre console is finished in silver and houses the gear lever and electronic parking brake among other controls. The MG 7 Trophy also offers a panoramic sunroof, a wireless phone charger, and a premium 9-speaker Bose audio system along with a heads-up display and a 6-way electrically adjustable driver's seat.

Safety is paramount with the MG 7 Trophy, with the sedan equipped with multiple airbags, a 360-degree camera, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) like rear collision detection and lane keep assist.
Set against its competitors, the MG 7 sedan's blend of power, aesthetics, and advanced features positions it as a noteworthy option for those seeking luxury and performance. If it does make its way into India, the MG 7 Trophy is expected to bear a price tag north of the Rs 40 lakh mark.
