Isuzu D-Max EV Unveiled At Auto Expo 2025 - Tough Pickup Goes Electric
At the Bharat Mobility Show 2025, Isuzu showed a look into its future with the electric concept version of the D-Max pickup truck. This move is a clear indication of Isuzu's strategy to integrate electric mobility into their lineup, as showcasing the D-Max EV at Auto Expoas a signal of change within the pickup segment.
The heart of the Isuzu D-Max EV lies in its powerful electric drivetrain, which consists of dual electric motors fed by a 66.9kWh battery pack, ensuring power is sent to all four wheels. This combination produces a commendable 175bhp and 325Nm of torque.
Despite its concept status, the electric D-Max EV impresses with a range of 300km on a single charge. It doesn't compromise on utility either, boasting a payload capacity of 1,000kg and the ability to tow up to 3.5 tons, demonstrating that functionality remains a priority even in its electric form.
The D-Max EV features several exterior modifications that underscore its electric identity. Notably, it features a redesigned grille with blue inserts, updated front and rear bumpers, a new set of alloy wheels, revamped headlights, and modified taillights. While specific details about the interior updates are yet to be revealed, it is anticipated that it will include new upholstery and blue accents to complement the electric theme suggested by the exterior changes.
