BYD is gearing up to reveal the pricing for its electric Sealion 7 coupe-SUV by March. The vehicle made its first appearance in India at the Auto Expo 2025 in New Delhi. Also, the upcoming BYD Sealion 7 will be the company's fourth offering in India, joining the Seal, Atto 3, and eMax 7.

BYD Sealion 7 Bookings

Bookings for the BYD Sealion 7 model have commenced in India. The booking amount for the model is set at Rs 70,000. Deliveries are set to begin in March, with prices expected to be announced before then.

BYD Sealion 7 Variants & Expected Pricing

Since BYD plans to position the Sealion 7 above Seal sedan in India's market hierarchy, its pricing could exceed Rs 60 lakh ex-showroom. Furthermore, it is available in two variants: Premium and Performance.

BYD Sealion 7 Battery & Range

The MIDC-claimed range is 567km for the Premium and 542km for the Performance variant. Also, both Premium and Performance variants house an 82.5kWh LFP Blade battery pack.

BYD Sealion 7 Powertrain & Performance

The Premium variant offers rear-wheel drive with outputs of 313hp and 380Nm. The Performance variant provides all-wheel drive with outputs of 530hp and 690Nm. BYD claims its electric motor is the fastest mass-produced unit at up to 23,000rpm. The Premium variant accelerates from 0-100kph in 6.7 seconds while the Performance version does it in just 4.5 seconds.

BYD Sealion 7 Design & Features

The Sealion 7 showcases Ocean-X styling with distinctive X motifs, akin to the Seal sedan. It shares design elements like headlamps and connected taillamps but features more aggressive bumpers. Sealion 7 comes in four colours: Cosmos Black, Atlantis Grey, Aurora White, and Shark Grey.

Inside, a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen dominates the dashboard, controlling most functions. Additional features include a floating instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, an electrically adjustable driver's seat with memory function, and a panoramic glass roof with sunshade. A heads-up display and connected car tech are also included.
