BMW India has made a significant entry into the electric vehicle market with the launch of the BMW iX1 Long Wheelbase All Electric at the Auto Expo 2025 in New Delhi for Rs 49 lakh ex-showroom.
This groundbreaking vehicle stands out as BMW's first electric vehicle manufactured in India, with production taking place at the BMW Group Plant Chennai. It is available for booking at dealerships across the country, marking a new chapter in BMW's journey towards sustainable mobility.
The introduction of the BMW iX1 Long Wheelbase All Electric is a landmark moment, as highlighted by Mr. Vikram Pawah, President and CEO of BMW Group India. He emphasized the vehicle's blend of size, sustainability, and luxury, stating, "Today, BMW has pioneered a disruption in the Indian premium automotive segment by launching the first-ever iX1 Long Wheelbase All Electric. Design and Features
The BMW X1 Long Wheelbase All Electric showcases a bold and modern design, with its extended dimensions giving it a commanding presence. With a length of 4,616 mm and a wheelbase of 2,800 mm, it boasts the largest interior space in its segment, ensuring superior comfort and versatility. Its design features, such as the signature BMW kidney grille and Adaptive LED headlights, accentuate its SUV character, while the interior is defined by premium craftsmanship and innovative functionalities.
