Austin Cindric To Compete For Ford Multimatic Motorsports At Rolex 24 At Daytona

Austin Cindric, a Ford Performance NASCAR Cup driver, will join the Ford Multimatic Motorsports team for the 2025 Rolex 24 At Daytona. He steps in for Ben Barker, who is recovering from a collarbone injury sustained while skiing. Cindric will race alongside Mike Rockenfeller and Sebastian Priaulx in the No. 64 Ford Mustang GT3.

Pascal Zurlinden, Executive Vice President of Multimatic Engineering & Special Vehicle Operations, expressed regret over Barker's absence but optimism about Cindric's return. "It is a real shame for Ben and for the team that he will miss Daytona, but accidents happen. He is already on the mend and will be back in action soon," said Zurlinden. "We’re delighted to welcome Austin back to the team and we are sure he will do an excellent job, as he has always done for us."

Cindric Joins Ford Multimatic for Daytona Race

"That nervous 16-year-old would be happy to learn where things would be 10 years on."

Cindric also conveyed well wishes for Barker's recovery while expressing eagerness to contribute positively to the team's performance: "It's important that I wish Ben all the best in his recovery as I get to keep his seat warm," he added.
