2025 Audi A5 Model Line Features Dynamic Design And Enhanced Technology For Mid-Size Sedan Market

The 2025 Audi A5 and S5 models introduce a more responsive chassis, enhancing the brand's signature driving experience with standard quattro all-wheel drive. These new models replace the previous A4 and A5 versions, offering a spacious interior and advanced E³ 1.2 electronic architecture for increased comfort and cutting-edge technology.

Both the A5 and S5 are built on the new Premium Platform Combustion (PPC), which results in larger dimensions compared to the A4. This expansion provides more space, standard equipment, and additional features. The 7-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission is standard, delivering power to the quattro all-wheel-drive system.

The A5's exterior design has been completely revamped, featuring a longer, wider, and taller body than its predecessor. The dynamic silhouette is achieved through a longer wheelbase, large wheels, and a low-profile greenhouse. The rear deck lid integrates seamlessly with the rear window for added functionality.

Under the hood, the A5 is equipped with a 2.0L TFSI 4-cylinder engine producing 268 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. Meanwhile, the S5 boasts a 3.0L TFSI V6 engine delivering 362 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque.

Audi continues to push forward with its lighting design in the new A5. Eight customizable digital LED daytime running light signatures are available on select trims. Additionally, second-generation digital OLED taillights offer personalization options for Prestige models.

The lighting technology includes around 60 segments per digital OLED panel at the rear of Prestige trims. This allows for dynamic lighting effects when locking or unlocking the vehicle, enhancing personalization and aesthetics.

Interior Comfort and Technology

The interior of the new Audi A5 focuses on user-centric design with driver-oriented displays known as the Digital Stage. This setup includes an 11.9-inch Audi virtual cockpit and a 14.5-inch MMI center touch display, complemented by an optional passenger display.

An updated Head-Up Display (HUD) offers more customization options than before. Drivers can adjust vehicle functions directly via the HUD, which now displays additional content like speed and navigation instructions.

Advanced Chassis Dynamics

The new A5's steering has become more precise due to improvements like mounting the steering rack directly to the body. This reduces elasticity between components for better feedback from the road.

The suspension system has also been enhanced with optimized front suspension wishbone bearings and stiffer front drive-axle designs. These changes contribute to more immediate reactions to steering inputs.

Delivery Timeline

The all-new Audi A5 and S5 models are expected to arrive in U.S. dealerships before mid-2025, with pricing starting at $47,700. This launch marks another step in Audi's commitment to responsible growth through transformation.

Audi of America remains dedicated to sustainable growth by introducing innovative vehicle platforms like Premium Platform Electric alongside Premium Platform Combustion models. In 2024 alone, Audi sold nearly 200,000 vehicles in the U.S., achieving record sales for Audi Sport models.
