Walkenhorst Motorsport emerged victorious in the Silver Class with their #35 Vantage GT3. Despite facing challenges throughout the week, including accidents that tested their resilience, they finished 14th overall. Romain Leroux, a former Aston Martin Racing Driver Academy graduate, expressed gratitude for the team's perseverance and success after previous setbacks.
Beechdean Motorsport secured a commendable second place in the Pro-Am class. Drivers Andrew Howard, Ross Gunn, Valentin Hasse-Clot, and Anthony McIntosh delivered an impressive performance. The Comtoyou Racing team returned with high hopes after their 2024 victory but faced disappointment. Despite qualifying eighth overall and showing promise early on, technical issues forced them out of contention. This marked a challenging end to Mattia Drudi's triple-header racing events with Aston Martin.
Verstappen.com Racing's debut was highlighted by a thrilling battle against McLaren in the Gold Cup Class. Vermeulen took advantage of a late puncture suffered by their rival to secure victory. "It's an amazing feeling," said Vermeulen about their triumph after extensive preparation and support from Aston Martin.
Their journey wasn't without challenges as they faced pressure from McLaren following a Full Course Yellow incident that affected their track position. However, strong performances from Vermeulen and Lulham kept them competitive while King executed a crucial overtake to regain the class lead.
