Aston Martin Strengthens Commitment To Military Community By Signing Armed Forces Covenant
Aston Martin has reinforced its dedication to the Armed Forces community by signing the Armed Forces Covenant. This commitment, part of their broader Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion strategy, was formalised at a ceremony on 28 April 2025. The event took place at Aston Martin's headquarters in Gaydon, with CEO Adrian Hallmark and Major General Dan Reeve MC leading the proceedings.
The Armed Forces Covenant ensures that those who serve or have served in the military, along with their families, receive fair treatment and respect in society. By signing this agreement, Aston Martin pledges to be an Armed Forces-friendly employer, supporting veterans and reservists transitioning to civilian careers.
Adrian Hallmark expressed pride in signing the Covenant, recognising the valuable skills veterans bring to Aston Martin. "We’re incredibly proud to sign the Armed Forces Covenant. At Aston Martin, we recognise the outstanding value that veterans, reservists and military families bring to our business – from technical expertise to a strong sense of teamwork and leadership. This pledge is a meaningful step in ensuring we create a supportive, inclusive environment where every colleague can thrive," he stated.
Major General Dan Reeve MC co-signed the Covenant and welcomed Aston Martin Lagonda as a signatory. He noted that this public commitment highlights the company's appreciation for the skills veterans and military families contribute to workplaces. "By signing the Covenant, Aston Martin Lagonda joins a cohort of over 13,000 organisations across the UK who have pledged to support the Armed Forces community and uphold the principles of fairness and respect," he added.
Aston Martin's pledge includes several initiatives aimed at supporting members of the Armed Forces community within their workforce. These include promoting themselves as an Armed Forces-friendly employer and encouraging applications from veterans, reservists, military spouses/partners, and cadet instructors.
The company also provides internal support through a dedicated Armed Forces Employee Resource Group. Additionally, they mark significant occasions like Armistice Day to honour military personnel's service and sacrifice.
