Aston Martin And LEGO Technic Launch New Valkyrie Model Celebrating Engineering Excellence
Aston Martin and the LEGO Group have introduced their latest joint venture: the LEGO Technic Aston Martin Valkyrie. This model celebrates Aston Martin's engineering prowess, capturing the essence of their most advanced hypercar. The unveiling is part of a broader collaboration with Gameloft's Asphalt Legends UNITE gaming platform, allowing players to experience both the real and LEGO versions of the Valkyrie in-game.
The Aston Martin Valkyrie stands as a testament to extreme automotive innovation. It combines Formula One technology with road-legal capabilities, achieving a 0-62mph time in just 2.5 seconds and boasting 1,140PS. This hypercar is the result of collaboration between Adrian Newey and Aston Martin, showcasing radical aerodynamics and cutting-edge engineering.
The LEGO Technic Aston Martin Valkyrie set features over 700 pieces. It includes functional gullwing doors, steering controlled by a top-mounted lever, and a detailed V12 engine with moving pistons. The model also sports the iconic Podium Green livery, appealing to car enthusiasts and LEGO fans alike.
Marek Reichman, Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer at Aston Martin, stated: "The Aston Martin Valkyrie represents a triumph of engineering, design, and aerodynamic innovation — a true icon born from Aston Martin’s mastery in performance and beauty." He highlighted how this collaboration immortalises the Valkyrie's legacy creatively.
Alexandra Dragomir from LEGO Technic expressed excitement about bringing the hypercar to life in brick form and within Gameloft's Asphalt Legends UNITE platform. She noted that this set elevates fast-paced play by celebrating Valkyrie's pinnacle engineering through LEGO Technic's moving functionality.
Gameloft's Asphalt Legends Unite offers an enhanced gaming experience with cross-play features across platforms. It introduces co-op capabilities, an upgraded graphic engine, modernised art direction for consoles, and a redesigned user interface. The expansion is available on various platforms including PlayStation 4 and 5.
