The Honda brand saw sales of 110,927 units in July, marking a 6.2% increase compared to the previous year. July was a notable month for the all-new Passport, which achieved record sales of 4,762 units. This represented an impressive 86.5% year-over-year increase. TrailSport models accounted for about three-quarters of these sales. Other models like the HR-V (11,715), Pilot (9,910), Ridgeline (4,999), and Odyssey (8,821) also performed well.

Honda's electrified vehicles set a new July record with sales reaching 38,050 units. Meanwhile, passenger car sales exceeded 30,000 units once again. The Civic led this category with 19,044 units sold. Notably, the Civic hybrid made up a record-breaking 41% of its model mix.

The Prologue also posted its best July ever with sales of 6,318 units—an increase of 82.7% compared to last year. The Ridgeline achieved its highest July sales on record while the Odyssey saw a year-to-date increase of 27.4%.

Acura Brand Insights

The Acura brand reported total sales of 10,090 units in July. This maintained its strong performance in 2025 with a year-to-date increase of 4.4%. Acura SUVs sold 7,907 units in July despite supply constraints due to retooling at the East Liberty Plant in Ohio.

Acura's gateway models—the Integra and ADX—combined for sales of 3,696 units. These models led their respective segments and reinforced Acura's appeal among young premium customers. ADX alone captured a segment-leading share of 20% with July sales reaching 2,292 units.

Year-to-Date Overview

American Honda's year-to-date total reached over 860,168 vehicles—a rise of 6.1%. Car sales declined by 8%, totaling 244,075 units while truck sales increased by nearly 13%, reaching 616,093 units.

The Integra sold twice as many units as its nearest competitor with a total of 1,404 vehicles sold in July alone. Despite challenges faced during retooling processes for future production flexibility at their plant in Ohio—preparing for ICEs hybrids EVs—the Acura brand continued to perform well.

Overall figures show that American Honda's total vehicle sales rose slightly by just over two-tenths percent compared to last year's numbers during this period; cars decreased by almost seven percent whereas trucks grew more than three percent overall within these categories respectively across both brands combined under their umbrella organisation globally headquartered here locally too!
