Alpine Highlights Driving Pleasure And Performance In New Short Film For 70th Anniversary
The latest short film in the "Alpine, 70 years" series highlights the joy of driving and motorsport's inspirational influence. Alpine's founder, Jean Rédélé, emphasised creating fun cars, a principle still central to the brand. This film, the fourth in the series celebrating Alpine's 70th anniversary, explores how drivers and fans experience the brand.
Laurent Hurgon, a test driver for Alpine Cars and a competitor in GT4 championships with an A110, shares his insights. He plays a key role in developing all models, ensuring that Alpine delivers on its promise of an exhilarating driving experience. "We want to pass on to our customers the pleasure we’ve taken in developing our vehicles," says Hurgon.

Antonino Labate, VP of Sales, Marketing and Customer Experience at Alpine, elaborates on the broader Alpine experience. "Driving is just the beginning. Our aim is to create a complete multi-sensory experience complete with moments that connect us emotionally with our fans," he explains. The brand aims to offer more than just driving pleasure.
Founded by Jean Rédélé in 1955, Alpine is known for its French-style sports cars. The new A110 was introduced in 2018, staying true to principles like compactness and agility. In 2021, the Alpine Business Unit was established within Renault Group to innovate exclusive sports cars.
Alpine competes in Formula 1 and World Endurance Championship through its expertise from Dieppe factory and engineering teams. The brand also participates in Rally, Cup, and GT4 racing via its customer racing programme. This diverse involvement showcases Alpine's commitment to motorsport.
Looking ahead to 2024, Alpine plans to launch its all-electric "Dream Garage." This includes the A290 hot hatch debuting next year and the A390 sport fastback set for release in 2025. These developments mark significant steps towards achieving their ambitious goals.
Jean Rédélé often remarked after driving his creations through mountain roads: "I had a lot of fun." This sentiment has become integral to Alpine's philosophy over time. The latest film captures this essence by focusing on how both drivers and enthusiasts perceive the unique Alpine experience.
Alpine continues innovating while honouring its heritage of creating authentic sports cars. By blending tradition with modern advancements like electric vehicles, they aim to maintain their legacy while adapting to future demands within automotive industry trends worldwide.
