Alpine Marks Its 70th Anniversary With A Grand Celebration In Dieppe Featuring New Models And Historic Parade

Alpine celebrated its 70th anniversary by hosting a grand event in Dieppe, attracting 150,000 fans. Over 1,700 Alpine cars, both classic and modern, were displayed along the seafront. The brand introduced the A390 sport fastback, the limited edition A110 R 70, and the A290, which was named the 2025 Car of the Year. These unveilings were part of a weekend filled with activities.

From May 30 to June 1, Dieppe transformed into an Alpine festival. The town is significant as it is where Jean Rédélé founded Alpine. The IDÉA association brought together the Alpine community on the seafront lawns to view the Dream Garage's second vehicle: the A390. This car had been revealed earlier by Pierre Gasly and Zinedine Zidane.

The weekend concluded with a massive parade on the former Dieppe/St-Aubin circuit. This symbolic event featured 700 Alpine cars covering a distance of 7 km to honour the brand's milestone anniversary. Philippe Krief, Alpine CEO, expressed that celebrating in Dieppe adds special meaning to this occasion.

During these celebrations, visitors explored various models from the current A110 range. This included the anniversary series A110 R 70, A110 GTS, and A110 R Ultime. Attendees also witnessed a parade featuring Alpenglow Hy6 with its pioneering six-cylinder hydrogen combustion engine.

A unique logo was designed for this anniversary. The "A-arrow" symbol highlights Alpine's journey from 1955 to 2025. It incorporates blue, white, and red to reflect its French roots. The number 70 extends from this arrow, symbolising a connection between past achievements and future ambitions.

The festivities included autograph sessions with notable figures such as Charles Milesi from the Alpine Endurance Team. Parades through Dieppe's city centre showcased models like Alpenglow Hy6 and others from their lineup. These events highlighted both heritage and innovation.

Alpine's Legacy

Founded in 1955 by Jean Rédélé, Alpine has distinguished itself with French-style sports cars. In 2018, they launched a new version of their iconic A110 model. By 2021, Alpine Cars merged with Renault Sport Cars and Racing under Groupe Renault to focus on crafting exclusive sports cars.

"Celebrating Alpine's 70th anniversary here in Dieppe gives this anniversary a special significance," said Philippe Krief. He noted how this gathering reflects passion for Alpine and its unique heritage that continues today while looking forward.

The A390 made its debut during this weekend before joining other Alpines for an historic demonstration drive through Dieppe streets. This model exemplifies how Alpine blends tradition with innovation after seven decades of automotive excellence.
