All-New Mercedes-Benz CLA Launches In The UK With Competitive Pricing And Advanced Specifications
The latest Mercedes-Benz CLA, featuring EQ Technology, is now available for purchase in the UK. Deliveries to customers are set to start in the third quarter. Buyers can select from three different specifications, with prices beginning at £45,615 for the CLA 250+ in Sport Edition. This model is hailed as the most efficient and intelligent Mercedes-Benz to date.
Customers have the option to order through the Mercedes-Benz Online Showroom or by visiting a local agent. Detailed pricing and specifications can be found on the Mercedes-Benz website. The CLA represents a new family of vehicles, offering both electric and hybrid drives. A hybrid version will be introduced later this year.
The CLA 250+ with EQ Technology boasts an 85 kWh battery and a 200 kW electric drive unit on the rear axle. It accelerates from zero to 62 mph in 6.7 seconds, reaching a top speed of 130 mph. Future configurations will offer additional battery and motor options.
This model can travel up to 484 miles on a single charge in Sport Edition specification. Recharging is efficient, adding over 200 miles in just ten minutes at fast-charging stations. Innovations like an 800-volt electrical architecture enhance its performance.
Every new CLA comes equipped with the Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS), featuring AI-enhanced capabilities developed in-house. This system allows for regular updates via the cloud, ensuring optimal vehicle functions and driving assistance systems.
The MBUX Virtual Assistant integrates AI from Microsoft and Google, enabling complex interactions between driver and vehicle. A 14-inch centre display with smartphone integration is standard, while a second display for passengers will be available post-launch.
Design and Comfort Enhancements
The new CLA includes features like an illuminated front panel with LED stars creating a unique brand signature. A 'frunk' under the bonnet adds extra luggage space beyond the standard boot capacity of 405 litres.
Sport Edition models feature THERMATIC climate control, heated seats, LED headlamps, alloy wheels, tinted glass, and GUARD 360° protection. AMG Line Editions add bodystyling enhancements, ambient lighting, and wireless charging capabilities.
Safety and Assistance Systems
The CLA is equipped with comprehensive safety features including Blind Spot Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Brake Assist, and DISTRONIC Distance Assist. Additional comfort systems are bundled under MB.DRIVE for enhanced driving experience.
