Acura MSR Achieves Strong Qualifying Performance At Rolex 24 In Daytona

Nick Yelloly secured a strong position for Acura in the Rolex 24 at Daytona, qualifying second with his #93 Acura Meyer Shank Racing with Curb Agajanian ARX-06. This marks a promising start for the team, which is collaborating with Honda Racing Corporation USA. HRC US is increasing its involvement in engineering and strategy for the 2025 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

Tom Blomqvist, driving the sister #60 Acura ARX-06, qualified sixth. His performance was hindered by an incident with a slower car, affecting what could have been his fastest lap. Despite this setback, Blomqvist and his teammates Colin Braun, Scott Dixon, and Felix Rosenqvist will begin the race from sixth place.

The #93 team includes Yelloly alongside Renger van der Zande, Alex Palou, and Kakunoshin Ohta. They aim to secure victory in the prestigious event. Meanwhile, Blomqvist's team is also hopeful of a strong performance despite starting further back on the grid.

Yelloly expressed satisfaction with his first qualifying session for Acura: "My very first Acura qualifying and we're lining up on the front row for Daytona, which is nice. There was a bit of confusion regarding the amount of time we had left...but the car felt nice."

Blomqvist shared his thoughts on the session: "Car is good, car is fast! We just got ourselves in a difficult spot there with the traffic and the track position...It's a long race so it doesn't really matter, but let's see!"
