Acura Aims For Victory At Sahlen’s Six Hours Of The Glen With Strong Driver Line-Up
Renger van der Zande and Nick Yelloly are set to compete in the #93 Acura Meyer Shank Racing with Curb Agajanian ARX-06 at Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen. They aim for a second consecutive win after their recent triumph at the Detroit Grand Prix. The race will be broadcast live on NBC and NBC Peacock at 12:00 PM ET on Sunday, June 22, 2025.
Acura has a strong history at Watkins Glen, securing six victories, including a notable 1-2 finish in 2022 with Wayne Taylor Racing and Meyer Shank Racing ARX-05s. Kaku Ohta, a development driver for Honda Racing Corporation, will rejoin the #93 team for this endurance event. He previously debuted with them at the Rolex 24 at Daytona in January.
The #60 car will feature Colin Braun and Tom Blomqvist as co-drivers. Both have shared podium success as Acura MSR teammates in the previous year's six-hour race. All four full-season Acura MSR drivers have impressive records at Watkins Glen International (WGI). Braun boasts five podium finishes and a win in 2014.
Van der Zande achieved consecutive wins in 2015 and 2016, along with three additional podiums in subsequent years. Blomqvist has two podiums from 2022 and 2023, while Yelloly secured victory in 2023. Both Acura MSR teams are eager for more podium finishes this season.
The #93 GTP marks an increased involvement from Honda Racing Corporation USA (HRC US) within the organization. This is their first time strategizing and engineering a racecar for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship competition. The #60 team claimed second place at the season-opening Rolex 24 at Daytona, while the #93 finished third at the Twelve Hours of Sebring earlier this year.
