AC Cars Unveils AC GT Roadster At ModaMiami Show With Client Test Drives Scheduled
AC Cars, the oldest active car manufacturer in Britain, is showcasing its AC GT Roadster at the ModaMiami event on March 1st and 2nd. This marks the vehicle's debut in the United States. The event at The Biltmore Hotel will also feature the AC Ace Classic electric model, making its East Coast debut. Following this, client test drives and receptions are scheduled in Miami.
The AC GT Roadster is a modern sports car that combines classic styling with advanced technology. It features a unique aluminium spaceframe chassis and a powerful 5.0-litre V8 engine. This supercharged engine delivers up to 654bhp and 575lb ft of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0-60mph in just 3.4 seconds.

David Conza, CEO of AC Cars, expressed excitement about the US debut, stating: "AC Cars is well and truly back in America, and we’re delighted to be with our existing clients and to meet so many new customers in Miami. The GT Roadster is a celebration of heritage and modern engineering and, based on the response so far, we know it’s going to receive an unbelievable amount of attention over the coming weeks."
The AC GT Roadster is part of the AC GT Range, which includes the GT Coupe. It combines timeless aesthetics with modern design techniques. The car remains true to the spirit of the original AC Cobra from the 1960s while incorporating contemporary engine, gearbox, and control technologies for enhanced performance.
The AC Ace Classic electric will also be displayed at ModaMiami. This model blends historic styling with cutting-edge powertrain technology. It features a hand-laid carbon fibre body and a bespoke 300 bhp TREMEC EV powertrain. With a range exceeding 200 miles, it accelerates from 0-62mph in 4.9 seconds.
Developed with TREMEC Electric GT, this electric model retains AC Cars' reputation for unique coachwork. Its precision carbon-fibre body is both strong and lightweight. The design reflects techniques used in the flagship AC GT Roadster.
The new AC Ace Classic comes in two versions: one with an electric powertrain and another with a gasoline engine. Both models retain elements from their predecessors while offering modern enhancements.
A Legacy of Excellence
Founded by the Weller Brothers in 1901, AC Cars has been a pioneer in vehicle manufacturing. Their first vehicle was produced in 1903, followed by the successful Autocarrier three-wheel delivery vehicle in 1904. The launch of the AC Ace in 1953 solidified their reputation among racing enthusiasts.
The iconic AC Cobra emerged from modifications made to accommodate a Ford V8 engine in the early '60s. Today, production remains limited to ensure each car meets exacting standards for exclusive clientele.
With facilities across Europe including Germany and Sweden, AC Cars collaborates with top industry suppliers for design and development. Their Donington HQ continues expanding capabilities as they usher in a new era for their vehicles.
