Maruti Suzuki Exports 6,000+ Units Of eVitara Electric SUV
Maruti Suzuki has officially confirmed that between August and September, it exported 6,068 units of its first-ever electric SUV, the e Vitara BEV. The model is being produced at the company's state-of-the-art Gujarat facility, which serves as Suzuki's global production hub for this new-generation electric vehicle.
The initial batches have been shipped to the United Kingdom and several European Union nations, while production for the Japanese domestic market and India is also underway. The e Vitara is set to make its debut in Japan in January 2026, followed by its India launch by March 2026.

The eVitara marks a significant milestone for Suzuki as it steps into the rapidly expanding EV segment. Designed as a global product, it combines Maruti's proven reliability with the latest in electric mobility technology. The SUV will be offered with two battery pack options and three trim levels, catering to a wide range of buyers across markets.
Built on a versatile platform, the e Vitara promises an optimal balance of performance, efficiency, and practicality - qualities that have long been central to Maruti's success in India.
In the Indian market, the e Vitara will compete with a growing list of electric SUVs including the MG ZS EV, Tata Curvv EV, Mahindra BE6, Hyundai Creta Electric, Kia Carens Clavis EV, and the upcoming Kia Syros EV, along with future offerings from Renault, Nissan, Volkswagen, and Skoda.
