2026 Toyota Corolla Cross Unveils Fresh Style And Advanced Technology For Modern Drivers
The 2026 Toyota Corolla Cross introduces fresh design elements, enhancing its appeal for SUV buyers. The Hybrid model showcases a sleek, colour-matched grille, while the gas version features a bold, rugged design. These updates give each powertrain a distinct look, maintaining the crossover's sporty shape. Inside, a larger touchscreen and redesigned console enhance the interior's modern feel.
A new Cavalry Blue paint option is available for select grades of the Corolla Cross. This includes the gas LE, XLE, and Hybrid SE, XSE models. Additionally, the Hybrid SE and XSE grades offer a two-tone Cavalry Blue with Jet Black roof option. The introduction of this colour continues Corolla Cross' tradition of offering vibrant exterior paint choices.
Two new wheel designs are now available for the 2026 model. The XLE grade features 18-inch alloy wheels with a dark-gray metallic finish and machined accents. Meanwhile, the Hybrid XSE grade comes with glossy-black finished 18-inch aluminum alloy sport wheels. These options add to the vehicle's stylish appearance.
The interior of the Corolla Cross has been updated to maximise space and comfort. A new front console design is standard across all grades, providing more usable space. The XLE grade introduces a fashionable Portobello interior colour option. A newly available 10.5-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia touchscreen enhances connectivity and entertainment.
For added comfort during colder months, a Cold-Weather package is now standard on the XLE AWD and Hybrid XSE grades. This package includes heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. It is also available on LE AWD and SE models.
Powertrain Options
The Corolla Cross offers both Hybrid and gas-powered models for 2026. The Hybrid version comes in three grades: S, SE, and XSE, all equipped with Electronic On-Demand AWD as standard. Gas-powered models are available in L, LE, and XLE grades with either FWD or AWD options.
The Hybrid model features Toyota’s 5th Generation HEV system with a net combined output of 196 horsepower. It achieves an impressive manufacturer-estimated 42 combined MPG rating across all Hybrid grades.
Performance Details
The gas-powered Corolla Cross models are equipped with a Dynamic Force 4-cylinder engine producing 169 horsepower. This engine pairs with a CVTi-S transmission for an engaging driving experience. Gas AWD models feature Dynamic Torque Control for improved fuel efficiency with an estimated 30 combined MPG rating; FWD models achieve approximately 32 combined MPG.
Safety Features
Toyota prioritises safety in the Corolla Cross by including Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 (TSS 3.0) as standard across all grades. This suite offers advanced active safety technologies such as Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection and Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist.
Additional safety features include Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert on LE and XLE grades as well as Front and Rear Parking Assist with Automatic Braking on XLE and XSE grades.
Warranty Information
Toyota provides comprehensive warranty coverage for the Corolla Cross lineup. A basic new-vehicle warranty covers components for three years or 36,000 miles excluding normal wear items. Powertrain coverage extends to five years or 60,000 miles while hybrid-related components have an eight-year/100,000-mile warranty.
The hybrid battery warranty lasts ten years or up to 150,000 miles whichever comes first; it is transferable across ownerships.
ToyotaCare offers two years or up to 25,000 miles of factory-scheduled maintenance along with two years of Roadside Assistance regardless of mileage.
