2026 Taycan Black Edition Sedans Introduce Enhanced Performance And Luxury Features
Porsche is set to launch the Taycan Black Edition sedan models, featuring enhanced visual elements and a larger Performance Battery Plus. These special editions come with an expanded list of standard features, combining luxury, comfort, and performance. Deliveries in the U.S. are anticipated to start in fall 2025.
The Black Edition models boast a SportDesign package with high gloss black finishes on the side window trims and rear model designation. This gives the cars a sporty yet elegant look. High gloss black exterior mirrors are exclusive to these models, complementing other paint options.
A standout feature of the Black Edition is the Performance Battery Plus, which is standard across all variants. This battery offers a gross energy capacity of 105 kWh, enhancing both driving performance and range. Additional standard equipment includes Lane Change Assist, Surround View with Active Parking Assist, and 21-inch wheels with Porsche crest center caps.
The interior of the Black Edition models features a black accent package, illuminated aluminum door sill guards, and a storage package. The cars also include HD-Matrix Design LED headlights and puddle light projectors displaying the Porsche logo. Comfort seats with memory function and a BOSE Surround Sound System with Dolby Atmos are also standard.
Despite its name, the Black Edition offers more than just black color options. Customers can choose from various exterior paints in the Shades category at no extra cost. These include Jet Black Metallic, Volcano Grey Metallic, Dolomite Silver Metallic, and Ice Grey Metallic.
For those seeking further customization, colors from the Legends, Dreams, and Contrasts categories are available. The Paint to Sample programs offer even more personalization options. Interior choices include leather in Slate Grey or a two-tone design.
Special Package Details
The extended Black Edition package includes exclusive 'Black Edition' lettering on front doors and illuminated door sill guards. A vehicle key set with matching lettering is also part of this package. The Sonderwunsch program allows for unique customizations of numerous interior components.
