2026 Kia Seltos Production Begins Ahead Of January Launch
Kia India has commenced production of the all-new Seltos at its Anantapur manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh ahead of the SUV's scheduled launch in January 2026, marking the start of manufacturing activities for the next-generation version of the mid-size SUV.
The first unit of the new Seltos rolled off the production line at the Anantapur plant as Kia prepares for its market introduction, with the company confirming that the updated model will be officially launched early next year.
Kia has announced that prices for the new-generation Seltos will be revealed on January 2, 2026, following which the SUV will go on sale across the company's dealership network in India.
The Seltos has been a key product for Kia India since its debut, with the original model also produced at the same Anantapur facility, where it contributed significantly to establishing the brand's presence in the Indian passenger vehicle market.
The new-gen Kia Seltos will feature multiple updates over the outgoing model, including revisions to exterior styling, interior layout, and feature content, as part of the generational update.
Kia's Anantapur plant continues to serve as a major production hub for the company's India operations, with the facility handling manufacturing duties for several models sold in the domestic market.
Bookings for the new Kia Seltos are already open, allowing customers to place orders ahead of the official price announcement scheduled for January 2nd. The token booking amount for the new 2026 Kia Seltos is ₹25,000, and all details about the SUV except pricing have been disclosed. The new Seltos is offered in 10 variants: HTE, HTE (O), HTK, HTK (O), HTX, HTX (A), GTX, X-Line, GTX (A) and X-Line (A).
The new-gen 2026 Kia Seltos is offered with a wide range of exterior colour options, including Frost Blue, Ivory Silver Gloss, Magma Red, Morning Haze, and Morning Haze with an Aurora Black Pearl roof. Other choices include Imperial Blue, Aurora Black Pearl, Gravity Gray, Xclusive Matte Graphite, Glacier White Pearl, Pewter Olive, and Glacier White Pearl with an Aurora Black Pearl roof.
