2026 Corvette Introduces New Interior Features To Enhance Driver Experience And Comfort
The 2026 Chevrolet Corvette lineup, including the Stingray, E-Ray, Z06, and ZR1 models, will showcase a redesigned interior. This update features larger driver-focused displays and new interior colours and materials. Scott Bell, vice president of Chevrolet, stated, "Corvette is the ultimate American sports car," highlighting its market leadership for over two decades.
The cabin of the 2026 Corvette offers a fresh design with a three-screen layout and revamped console. The cockpit includes a 12.7-inch centre console display, a 14-inch driver information centre, and a 6.6-inch touchscreen auxiliary display beside the steering wheel. Phil Zak from Global Chevrolet noted that every interior element was carefully considered.
In the 2026 Corvette's centre console, controls are now more accessible to drivers. The drive mode selector has been moved next to the gear selector. A wireless phone charging pad is added below the infotainment system with a cover to secure phones. The volume knob is larger and illuminated for better visibility.
HVAC controls have been shifted under the centre display to create an open space between driver and passenger. A new USB-C port is placed below the passenger grab handle. Redesigned cupholders feature ambient lighting and Corvette's crossed flags emblem at their base.
The 2026 Corvette integrates advanced hardware and software for an enhanced driving experience. The new displays offer sharper visuals and improved functionality. An additional 6.6-inch touchscreen provides configurable space for key information like trip mileage or Performance Traction Management.
"There's an intentional balance of physical and virtual controls," said Dusty Smith, performance driving product manager. Virtual head-up display controls free up space for intuitive physical buttons for Performance Traction Management.
Performance Features
The E-Ray Performance App introduced in 2024 now extends across all Corvette models in 2026. It maintains power and torque flow gauges while adding features like acceleration timers, G-force gauge, tire pressure readings, propulsion system vitals, and eAWD gauge.
These gauges are accessible via the auxiliary display or Performance App on the centre console. They can also be displayed on the driver information centre in Tour and Sport modes for further customisation.
Infotainment System
All 2026 Corvettes come with a custom infotainment system featuring Google Built-in services integrated with vehicle controls. OnStar connectivity enhances convenience and entertainment options matching its performance capabilities.
Drivers can use voice commands to operate various functions such as navigation or adjusting cabin temperature. New apps available through Google Play allow streaming movies or playing games while parked.
Craftsmanship Focus
The new interior design emphasises craftsmanship with bespoke customisation options like asymmetrical colourways in Jet Black and Adrenaline Red. Lindsey Grant from Global Chevrolet highlighted this unique design choice that separates driver from passenger areas dramatically.
The Ultimate Suede interior option covers nearly all surfaces in sueded microfiber with accent stitch colours available in Adrenaline Red, Santorini Blue or Competition Yellow along with matching seatbelts.
Additional Highlights
A new PTM Pro mode is introduced across all variants allowing maximum control by turning off electronic stability control while keeping ABS active along with certain E-Ray-specific front axle controls active.
The ZR1’s ZTK performance package includes an all-new brake package featuring large carbon ceramic discs paired with ten-piston front calipers making it one of most powerful production Corvettes ever made.
An electrochromic roof allows customers to change tint levels at press button selecting between full medium low tints options providing flexibility depending on lighting conditions outside vehicle during drive sessions ensuring optimal comfort inside cabin throughout journey ahead!
