2026 Citroën Basalt Vision Debuts In Brazil With Sportier, Aggressive Styling
French Automaker Citroen has unveiled a new 2026 Basalt Vision concept in Brazil. The Coupe SUV gets a new style, featuring a sporty and aggressive design. This concept design could soon arrive in India as a sports trim. It will be similar to the Hyundai N-Line and Volkswagen GT Lines.
2026 Citroën Basalt Vision Concept
The concept car was completely yellow with a black finish. The '2026 Basalt Vision concept' is sportier, stylish and robust compared with the standard models. There is also vision badging on the front doors, as well as skid plates with blacked-out wheel arches.
It also gets LED headlights, LED taillights with connecting strips, and a newly designed rear bumper with red strips. This concept is based on the top-of-the-range Basalt Dark Edition, and hence, the interiors are completely blacked out and sporty.
Additionally, it gets an extended black roof, shark fin antenna, 18-inch chrome wheels, red brake callipers, and spoilers. With the 2026 Basalt Vision concept, Citoren plans to market the Basalt name badge in Latin America.
As it is a sporty variant, it could only feature a bigger engine. In India, Citroen launched the new Basalt X with newly themed exteriors and interiors. It gets two engine options: 82 PS and 110 PS Petrol engines. If the 2026 Vision concept reaches India, we expect it to be sold with the more powerful 110PS engine and an Automatic transmission. It could also be sold as the top-of-the-line variant.
The Basalt X also features high-class safety features, including 6 airbags, a 360-degree camera, Auto-dimming IRVMs, ESP, and hill hold assist. Additionally, it gets front ventilated seats, cruise control, premium cushion seats, a push-start button, a floating 7-inch TFT infotainment system and a best-in-class air conditioning system.
The price of the Citroen Basalt Coupe SUV starts at 7.95 lakhs (ex-showroom). Its competitors are the Tata Curvv, Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq.
